Patient Sailors Wait for Breeze Again on Tuesday

For the second consecutive day, racing is expected to be delayed until the wind fills in on Biscayne Bay.

The Women’s and Men’s 470 were scheduled to start at 10:00 and 10:15 am, respectively. Eight classes were scheduled to begin between 11:00 and 11:15 am. Four classes are scheduled to start later this afternoon. View the updated schedule (Subject to change).

Breeze is expected to hold light today until about 1:00 pm when a 5 knot build is expected out of the southeast. With the sea breeze, pressure will max out around 8 knots later this afternoon. Temperatures in the high 70s.

Miami Welcomes Top International Contenders

MIAMI, Fla. (January 26, 2014) – Coconut Grove was bustling with anticipation on Sunday for the start of 25th annual ISAF Sailing World Cup Miami. US Sailing’s premiere racing event gets underway this Monday with 580 of the best Olympic and Paralympic class sailors in the world representing 50 countries. Over 550 sailors from 50 nations will head to Miami, Florida, USA to race at ISAF Sailing World Cup Miami from Monday 27 January to Saturday 1 February 2014.

PORTSMOUTH, R.I. (November 6, 2013) – US Sailing has opened online registration for its premier event – the ISAF Sailing World Cup Miami (Fla.) – set to take place January 25 to February 1 on Biscayne Bay. Competitors and coaches are required to register online, as on-site registration will not be available. Additional fees will apply for entries received after the deadline. Regatta to Celebrate 25th Running

Portsmouth, R.I. (September 11, 2013) – US Sailing’s premier event – the ISAF Sailing World Cup Miami – is set to return to Miami, Florida for top-level Olympic and Paralympic class racing.
